Alittle about Sandy...
Sandy has been a long-time quilter, making her first quilt 30 years ago.
Her interest was piqued again in 1996 in preparation of her daughter going off to college.
With one of her earliest applique pieces winning several regional and state level awards, she found her passion!
She has a mission to learn a new technique, stretch her comfort zone and broaden her experience with every new quilt.
Sandy has worked part-time in local quilt stores, is a member of Colorado Quilt Concil and teaches classes in paper piecing and applique. Her motivating workshops are geared toward the beginning quilter - are packed with practical tips, techniques and methods to insure success.
Sandy is the owner of Cupcake Quilt Retreats. She held her first quilting retreat in 2006, successfully introducing modern-day quilting bees. CQR answers a genuine need for friendship and community; fosters a rich environment for "sisterhood", pampering and lifelong friends. CQR also contributes positively to communities and charities in ways were love and quilts can make a difference.
